Chapel House, Earl Soham, Suffolk

Chapel House, Earl Soham, Suffolk

Former Chapel built in 1859, converted into a five bedroom residential dwelling whilst retaining its original features and exposing the scissor truss roof.

We were appointed to provide full Structural Engineers services for the duration of the project to restore the fabric of the chapel.
The dwelling provides living accommodation on the first floor, exposing the original scissor trusses creating a high vaulted space and incorporating a roof terrace to maximise the views. The building’s original windows were utilised and strengthened to facilitate the residential layout.
